Motivation Monday: Your Downfall is NOT The Definition of YOUR Character

Picture this:

You're walking on the field, helmet in your hand, and your silhouette in the light. You hear the crowd,  you see the fans, the other team, and lights flashing around you. Yet, do you stop and think that this can be taken away with a snap? Now it's dark, you're in a dark place and can't figure out how to get out. You look around, scream for help, then you start running, you don't know where to go but you're running trying to find a way out. You stop because you can't find your way out and now you're panicking, gasping for air, crying, and gripping your head, asking "WHY ME?? WHY ME?? THIS CANNOT HAPPEN TO ME!! I DON'T DESERVE THIS!!"

You drop to your hands and knees and the sobbing continues but this is where I ask you, "You may not deserve this but what are you going to do to change it?" Look up and realize that your character is built on what you continuously do, not from a bad decision or terrible obstacle. What exactly are you afraid of? The only person you should be afraid of is God. He is the one who makes you chose which path you should go down. You are being tested. Don't let the pressure break you, you need to be the one to apply it! Get up stand on your ten toes and fight back!

Here's to your process. You now work harder than ever before. You sweat more than you have. You pray harder than you did before. The bond you have with your brothers is what's keeping you a float. Now your opportunities are racking up and people are starting to see the potential and fire in you.

Life does nothing but kick you while you're down and hit you upside the head with a rock. It's unfair but when has life ever been fair? Now the process begins, so are you ready for the obstacles that lie in your way? You can either be down or stand up and regain your mental/emotional stability, I can be there but I'm not going to hold your hand. There will be no help from me because I know you can come out stronger than me!

Now fast forward to the end of your journey, you're back on the field walking, helmet on your head, the hunger in your eyes, and the drive in your heart. Now the beast within you who lied dormant is now awake. You've remained humble but hungry during your journey.
